Associate Product Manager Position
The Associate Product Manager may be based in one of two locations: corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA or in our Mechanicsburg, PA office.
The Associate Product Manager will assist one or more Product Managers and/or Senior Product Managers in managing and developing one or more product lines. Reporting to the group Product Manager, the Associate Product Manager will fulfill the daily business, application support and documentation functions in the product management group, such as:
- Developing and maintaining product specifications.
- Assisting one or more Product Managers in strategy decisions, new product development and testing, and roll-out of new product worldwide.
- Authoring technical bulletins, product application notes, product guides and training programs to support the sales force and the product line.
- Providing Tier 2 support for solution architects, account services personnel, and customer support representatives.
- Training new sales and technical support staff on the product line.
- Managing one or more partner or OEM relationships.
Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of either the social media or learning space, preferably with some specific understanding of LMS products and their value proposition.
- A “take the hill” mentality and a desire to make your mark in a new and emerging space.
- And then of course all the normal stuff:
- Be able to communicate in all sorts of ways: visually, verbally, writtenly… you get the idea.
- Demonstrate some experience with software from this century, including social media applications (and if you need to ask what this means, then you are a miss on this qualification… sorry).
- Be ethical, honest, respectful of your colleagues, and generally the kind of person we would be proud to call a friend, not just a co-worker.
- Some sort of degree would be nice, but here’s what we really need: the vision to “see the forest for the trees” while still being able to describe the trees in intricate detail.
