Community Consultant
Mzinga, the leading provider of business social media solutions that drive growth, innovation, and learning, seeks a highly qualified, energetic Community Consultant and dynamic contributor who can assist in the development and management of community implementations for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple managed community (MC) clients.
- Assist the MC sales team in communicating the MC opportunity to prospects.
- Consult with clients on community best practices in the areas of content development, event programming, online facilitation, member outreach, etc.
- Build from best practices to create a comprehensive community strategy for MC clients
- Manage the implementation of that community strategy
- Oversee continuing community operations and develop new sales opportunities within multiple MC implementations
- Share lessons learned in hosted communities with the Mzinga professional networks team.
Qualifications required
- Bachelors degree in related field; MBA a plus
- 3+ years of online content/community experience
- A strong track record developing diversified content streams: transcripts, articles, surveys, webcasts, podcasts, wikis, blogs, etc.
- Expertise in a subscription-based product or service a plus (preferably in an emerging market)
- Experience in developing content taxonomies a plus
- Specific experience work with clients on marketing/online implementations
- Experience with, and passion for, creating/consuming new content types. Candidate should have specific experience (preferably personal) maintaining a web site, blog, podcast, etc.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven record of implementing new processes
- Able to balance multiple projects in various phases of implementation at any given time
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work with individuals across the organization.
- A self-starter with the willingness, and desire, to "roll up their sleeves" and get the job done
- Preference for working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
- Able to travel in support of projects up to 25%
