Social Media Designer
About the Opportunity:
Mzinga’s Social Media Implementation Team is responsible for building out high-quality, high-volume, highly visible web-based community and social media solutions for our large-enterprise clients, who use Mzinga-hosted services to engage their millions of customers, employees, and partners worldwide. Clients include nearly 200 leading consumer brands and global enterprises such as FOX, CBS, MLB, Virgin Media, Chevron, Marsh, Agilent, and Goldman Sachs.
About You:
As an experienced web designer:
- you have worked on at least one consumer-oriented web site property from inception to delivery
- you eagerly follow web technology trends such as the latest usability and design techniques
- you can't imagine building a web page without a great CSS template and your favorite JavaScript library at hand; your own web site provides examples of the latest in web technologies
- your online portfolio reflects work for well-known brands
- you can execute your own designs using table-less layout and well-formed CSS
- you are passionate about meeting daunting design challenges with world-class solutions
- you enjoy working in a fast-paced, small-office environment where you can share in the excitement of the startup-like spirit; but at the same time, the benefits of a well-funded, established, industry-leading company aren't lost on you!

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver complex solutions using HTML / JavaScript / CSS / DHTML / XML
- Create and apply CSS to template web pages and controls
- Work in a proprietary control center to deliver dynamic community tools
- Work with .NET developers to transition and deliver exciting new Web 2.0 Social Media products to our clients
Required Skills:
- 3+ years experience designing and developing consumer-oriented web sites and services (working in proprietary environments a plus)
- 3+ years experience with DHTML / XHTML / CSS (familiarity with Flex/Flash and XSLT a plus)
- Team player who can work in a fast-paced organization
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly, can provide self-direction but follow instructions accurately and well, willing to get involved and do whatever is needed to get the job done
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree preferred or equivalent related experience
