Technical Services Specialist
About the Opportunity:
As a member of Mzinga’s Social Media Implementation team you will help plan and develop our clients' next-generation web communities where millions of users in a wide range of industries connect on a daily basis to share stories, photos, opinions, product reviews and other user-generated content. You will provide best-practices guidance and advice to top-shelf clients as we walk them through the community build process.
Our implementation team supports a state-of-the-art .NET 2.0 + AJAX environment and needs someone with a solid track record of delivering customized solutions while working in a proprietary expert system.
About You:
As an experienced web consultant:
- you have guided a customer through the process of configuring of a sophisticated and dynamic web property
- you have worked on at least one consumer-oriented web site from inception to delivery
- you eagerly follow web technology trends such as the latest usability and design techniques
- you understand the fundamentals of CSS, you might even teach our seasoned staff a thing or two
- you understand the benefit of “table-less” HTML
- you enjoy working in a fast-paced, small-office environment where you can share in the excitement of the startup-like spirit; but at the same time, the benefits of a well-funded, well-established and profitable company aren't lost on you!
- you have an eye for detail and pride yourself on impeccable communication
- you are well-organized and fast at learning new systems
- you like to learn (and perhaps teach) the latest technologies and constantly dream up new ways to apply them in your work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and advise clients through the implementation process, from kick-off to launch
- Configure sophisticated business logic into community tools
- Create and apply CSS to template web pages and controls
- Work in a proprietary control center to deliver dynamic community tools
- Work with .NET developers to transition and deliver exciting new Web 2.0 Social Media products to our clients
Required Skills:
- 3+ years experience developing consumer-oriented web sites and services (working in proprietary environments a plus)
- 1+ years in a customer service role
- Strong listening skills; customers often deliver technical requirements quickly and often requests have to be translated into Mzinga-ese for execution
- Team player who can work in a fast-paced organization
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly, can provide self-direction but follow instructions accurately and well, willing to get involved and do whatever is needed to get the job done
- Associates degree in Communication, Customer Service or Computer Sciences
- Web certification in HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus
