Executive Vice President, Services
One of the first internet pioneers to lead the way in social media, Dan brings to Mzinga almost two decades of entrepreneurial experience in online technology and service innovation.
During that time, he has twice testified on telecommunications policy issues before the U.S. Congress.
In his role as Executive Vice President of Services, Dan oversees all Mzinga services, including Strategic Consulting, Technical Support, Moderation, Client Services, and Implementation.
Dan’s extensive industry experience includes:
- Dan was co-founder and CEO of Prospero Technologies, where
he was instrumental in developing the company’s community platform, social media and moderation tools.
- Earlier in his career, Dan served as Chairman and CEO of Delphi Internet Services as it became the first commercial online service to provide access to the Internet in 1992. He also oversaw the sale of the company to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation in 1993.
- In 1996, Dan reacquired Delphi and leveraged the company’s assets to build a new platform for white-labeled community applications. It has since evolved into Mzinga’s current social media and online community technology platform.
- Dan was also co-founder of the Knowledge Factory, creating CompanyLink in conjunction with the Pulitzer Publishing Company.
Dan is a graduate of Williams College and the Harvard Business School.
