Sunny Times Ahead

I just landed in Fort Meyers, Florida, and on my drive North on Highway 75, I noticed that in the past 10 years, since my family starting vacationing on the West coast of Florida, apartment and senior living communities are springing up everywhere.

Sunshine an<p>The funny thing is that the same thing is happening in the 'virtual' community market. Communities are popping up everywhere you look. In the consumer markets, it is Flickr, youtube, facebook and others.  But what is even more interesting to me, is the emergence of corporate communities and their impact on business. Articles in <em><a href=

Time, Newsweek or BusinessWeek prove that communities are going to be the new way to do business, interact with customers, drive product and service innovation and enhance investor returns.

The real question is: Why now?  And the answer is: Because we can finally all communicate and share information directly and cost-effectively.  The result: Better, faster decisions that are aligned with our own needs.  So although I love Florida and the warm sunny weather that attracts new inhabitants to its ever-growing population of apartment communities, I am even more excited about the prospect of virtual communities that improve the lives and businesses of those involved. - Barry 4/18/06
