Social Media Advice: Move Fast
I wanted to share a recent conversation with Zeev Neumberger, the CTO at one of the interactive agencies that we partner with. Zeev and I spoke about two weeks ago to go over all the wonderful news about Mzinga and Prospero and all the great things we are adding to the partner program.
While we were talking, the conversation turned to the implementation of projects, keeping to schedules, etc. He said something that I think was wonderful for an incredible interactive agency – I am going to paraphrase:
Just launch it!
Don't worry about every pixel being perfect or every piece of functionality being ready on day one, the important thing to do is to start then keep improving. Listen to the feedback from your community and continue to improve and add new functionality, but the important thing to do is to start!
In such a dynamic field, where change is the only constant– this is incredibly good advice.
As many know Aaron, Jim, Heather, and I asked many of the wonderful people we met at SXSW about their advice for businesses starting in social media. In addition to Zeev's words of wisdom, if you have not checked out Jim's posts, please do so!
