Twitter or Bust Aaron and I ripped off a quick podcast this morning to describe how we derive value from Twitter. While we focused more on how folks within Mzinga could (and should) raise their game by joining us on Twitter, it certainly speaks to anyone out there in the business world. as I just said to Derek, who's a new Twitter convert...
Twitter is all about serendipity. Whether it's learning something new, connecting with someone you wanted to meet or seeing a link to an article that hits you just the right way. You don't know when it's going to happen, but you have to be on there for it to happen.*
* I credit Laura "Pistachio" Fitton for first articulating the concept of serendipity on Twitter to me. I'm not certain exactly when and where we had the conversation (likely on Twitter), but it immediately struck me as a great way to describe what I see every day on Twitter. Serendipity.

Great point. Early notice on breaking news via Twitter. Also, if you're a Comcast subscriber there's a person dedicated to answering customer issues via Twitter (talk with Frank @comcastcares).
you can also find local and national news on twitter through informal conversation and official news organizations.
