Gary Vaynerchuk, WineLibraryTV.com | No. 46
I had the pleasure of meeting Gary Vaynerchuk, or "Garyvee" as he's known, for the first time at the South by Southwest Interactive conference. At the conference, it didn't take long for me to realize why the founder of Winelibrarytv.com and author of recent book, Gary Vaynerchuk's 101 Wines: Guarenteed to Inspire, created a passion in his fans beyond just his enthusiasm for wine. If you've never seen Gary in person or on video, I highly recommend you do so as he is one of the most energetic, passionate and fun-loving people you'll ever meet (as evidenced by appearances on The Conan O'Brien and The Ellen Degeneres Shows").

Listen in as Gary and I talk about how he got started, his secret to success (hint - it starts with hustle) and some of his recommendations for creating a successful online community. Oh, Gary also answers questions like "where do you get your haircut" and "how much money do you make per month" based on questions I threw at him live from microsharing application, Twitter. Stephanie Agresta, Affiliate Karma | No. 45
Like many of my guests, Stephanie Agresta wears many hats. She's a blogger at Internet Geekgirl, CEO of Affiliate Karma and co-founder of the TechSet event series. Stephanie is also a friend and an all around good person to know (did I mention that she's well connected?)

During our conversation, Stephanie does a nice job of framing the importance of including social media in your company's overall marketing mix vs. treating it as a stand alone entity e.g. most companies don't just rely on search engine marketing for all of their marketing needs. Listen in as Steph also talks about the importance of online and offiline relationships and explains how companies can best get started with social media.  Stephanie's Blog

Janna Anderson, Elon University | No. 44
In addition to being an associate professor at Elon University, Janna Anderson is also  the director of the Imagining the Internet project. In her spare time, she does contract research for Pew Internet. Oh, and she's also written a book called Up for Grabs: Future of the Internet (yup, she's a busy person).

There were two things I really enjoyed about my interview with Janna. The first was her pragmatic approach to the way Web 2.0/social media is changing the way we communicate and do business. The second was the fact that she kept me honest when I asked her about her favorite blog. Instead of naming any one individual blogger, she came back with TheEdge.com which is of course a blog written "by a crowd." During our conversation, Janna and I also talked about the way social media is changing the way she interacts with her students, the media and business in general.  Janna's Blog

Cali Lewis, GeekBrief.tv | No. 43
Cali Lewis is the host and co-producer of GeekBrief.tv. She also blogs, podcasts and Twitters in her spare time. She and her husband got started in social media with the help of a man they call the "Podfather" a.k.a. Adam Curry. Yeah, the MTV (now Mevio) Adam Curry.

I won't lie, some podcasts are more fun than others. This one was one of my favorite, mainly because in addition to being super smart and driven, Cali has an infectious laugh. Listen in as we talk about how she turned her passion for podcasting and v-casting into a full time job in five months flat. You can also hear her share tips for creating successful content, how to build a community and why (after much teeth pulling) she admits that she'd like to be more like Leo LaPorte. Cali's Blog

Stowe Boyd, /Message | No. 42

Stowe Boyd is a well-known blogger for /Message (over 70k followers) and front man for Stowe Boyd and the Messengers (his consulting gig). He's also bullish on social tools ("obsessed" is the word he uses). I've met Stowe several times and recently heard him speak at Enterprise 2.0. Given his ability to ratchet the importance of social media up another level, I knew he would be perfect for an appearance on the "We Show."

During our interview, Stowe talks about companies being able to use social tools to fundamentally "change the way we interact. He also talks about microblogging and the ability for tools like Twitter to serve as early warning systems for companies.  Oh yeah, I couldn't help but ask Stowe about some of the latest sniping between fellow "A listers" (think video and puppets). He of course doesn't pull any punches. Listen in to find out more.  Stowe's Blog

N. Nash & J. Hariani, Bearingpoint | No. 41

Nate and Jay are the Click and Clack of social media at Bearingpoint. Offiicially, they have the titles of manager (Nate) and senior business consultant (Jay) in the emerging markets sector at their company but seriously, these guys are a true team. For instance, during our conversation I learned that not only do they physically work together but that they also blog together and present together (most recently at Enterprise 2.0).

In this interview, we focus on the groundbreaking activities that Nate and Jay are engaged in in the world of consulting. Instead locking up their knowledge and IP inside Bearingpoint's walls they are setting it free one bit at a time while helping their clients do the same. More importantly, they've managed to get their management, legal and compliance teams comfortable with these activities. Jedi mind tricks, perhaps? Listen in to find out more.  Nate & Jay's Blog

Lewis Green, L&G Business Solutions| no. 40

Lewis Green is the chief communication officer and founder of L&G Business Solutions. He's also the author of several books, the most recent of which is titled, Lead With Your Heart. Recently, Lewis was kind enough to invite me to join him on a panel he was moderating. During our prep call for the panel, he and I got talking about the word "evangelism" and how politically charged it was. As a result, Lewis wrote a blog post about the topic. I countered with a podcast.

Listen in as Lewisand I discuss his several different (and I mean different) careers, the importance of creating happiness in the workplace and finally the "good, the bad and the ugly" of social media evangelism.  Lewis' Blog

Jason Calacanis, Mahalo.com | No. 39

Jason Calacanis is the CEO of Mahalo.com, "the First Human-powered Search Engine" according to their site. I met Jason at the Milken Institute's Global Conference. Prior to the Milken Conference, I had started following Jason on Twitter a couple of months back so I knew how humorous and irreverant he could be. During the Milken panel titled, "The Changing Rules of PR and Corporate Influence in the Digital Age" he was particularly irreverant and I knew immediately that I needed to do a podcast with him.

Unfortunately I didn't have my podcast equipment with me at the Milken Conference so I had to do this podcast with Jason via my iPhone. The quality is not perfect but the content (Jason's insights, not mine) more than make up for that fact. Listen in as Jason talks about how he got started, Mahalo.com's innovative "American Idol" style process for choosing a new host for Mahalo Daily and the importance blogging and Twittering should play in the role of today's CEO. Blog

Jerry Wind, Lauder Professor & Professor of Marketing, The W

Jerry Wind is an amazing guy. I couldn't list all of his accomplishments in his title but in addition to being The Lauder Professor and professor of marketing at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), he's also the director of the SEI Center for Advanced  Studies in Management and an editor for the Wharton School Publishing. Wow!

During our converesation, Jerry and I talk about the importance of becoming a "network-based" or "WE" company in this age of community and social networking. Jerry talks about examples of "WE" companies and comments on the SCORE framework that his partner in crime (and my boss), Barry Libert created. Finally, Jerry provides prescriptive advice for companies that are interested in becoming "WE" companies.

Erin Kotecki Vest, Blogger for Momocrats/Huffington Post and

Erin Kotecki Vest aka "Queen of Spain" has been categorized as a "mommy blogger." After getting to know her a little bit through our podcast and our brief encounter at SXSW, I'd say she's really more of a blogger that happens to talk about topics that other moms might care about. This includes things like politics, social media and current events.

During our conversation, we talk about the fact that Erin contributes to several blogs including Huffington Post, Blogher, Momocrats and her own "Queen of Spain" blog. What was fun about this podcast (in addition to the fact that Erin is irreverant as hell) is the fact that we took questions live from Twitter. We're not sure if this was a first or not but it was a great way to field questions.

Listen in as Erin talks about being a woman blogger, her work life balance and how she has no problem blurring the lines between her personal and professional life. Blog
