With 21 years of executive experience at market-leading high-tech companies, Rick is a natural leader who understands how crucial a skilled, motivated team is to building a sustainable, successful company.
Rick's role as President and CEO of Mzinga is a natural progression in a career that has long revolved around communities, on-demand collaboration, and innovation. His experience includes:
- Prior to Mzinga, Rick was Chief Marketing Officer of WebEx Communications and President of WebEx Small Business, where he led the company's worldwide go-to-market and customer acquisition strategies.
- Rick also served as president and CEO of Intranets.com, which was acquired by WebEx in 2005. Under his leadership, the company was named to the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing technology companies for two years.
- As Vice President of Corporate Marketing at PictureTel, Rick oversaw all aspects of corporate marketing.
- At Shiva Corporation, where Rick served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, he was instrumental in growing worldwide revenues by more than 50 percent.
- Rick also served as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Lotus Development Corporation, where he managed all marketing communications, VAR development, as well as database, channel, and OEM marketing.
- Earlier in his career, Rick founded First Software, which grew to more than $175 million in revenue in less than four years. In 1985, First Software was ranked second in Inc. Magazine's list of fastest-growing companies.
Rick serves on the Board of Directors at Virtual Computer (www.virtualcomputer.com), cMarket (www.cmarket.com), Yodle (www.yodle.com), Centive (www.centive.com) and Blue Raven (www.blueraven.com).
Rick holds a BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.
